Commentary
Compound personal name probably formed with second element rīg- 'king'; for -rīχs ⟨ris⟩ cf. toutoris, ośoris. The first element may be nant- or nat-, each supported by exactly one comparandum. For option 1, cf. CIL XIII 5485 ]nantiorix (Dijon, lost; EDH HD081173, KGP: 247), with a i̯o-stem in the first element. See nanto- on the semantics, lit. 'king of the valley' or, more typically Gaulish, 'king of battle'. For option 2 cf. CIL XIII 8095 uonatorix (Dijon), whose second element is connected by Delamarre GPN: 232 with nat- 'poem'. Differently Schmidt KGP: 248, who assumes that the second element in uonatorix is also nant-, with loss of /n/ before the stop in composition with a preverb (p. 89).
