Commentary

Images in Garovaglio 1877: tav. I.16 (drawing), Oberziner 1883: tav. XVIII.3 (drawing copied from Garovaglio), Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 281, tav. IX.15 (photo), Morandi 1999: 202, tav. XV.3 (photo = Morandi 2004: 800, tav. XXIII.158).

Fragment of the round rim of a ceramic vessel (Garovaglio 1877: 35, no. 16, an olla according to Gambari & Colonna 1988: 162, no. 8), found at Rondineto in the necropolis (Poggi 1879: 311, in the settlement according to Colonna). Dating uncertain according to Colonna, "potrebbe scendere al IV sec." implies 4th c. or older (cf. Morandi "tra il V e il IV sec.").
