Commentary
If *powno- > *fobno- > *omno-, the U of aśouni could represent the (nasalised) labial fricative (cp. the hesitancy in Old British orthography regarding the representation of this sound).
1) ś < *ksi̯ as in Gaul. Axionus? (Lejeune 1971: 19, 419 fn. 198 Stifter 2010: 371, Uhlich 2007: 384, IEW: 52 (Axona ??), cp. amaśilu) 2) *ad-omno- < *ad-obno-, cf. OIr. Adomnán, but *bn > *u̯n does not occour in esopnos (PV·1) and esopnio (VB·28, Stifter 2010: 372)
