Commentary

Inscribed on the inside (apparently) foot of the ceramic vessel between two frame lines; two letters are preserved. Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 191, no. 10 read ]ạlu[ including faint traces before the first letter (also Tibiletti Bruno 1978: 147), but considering the curve of the foot it is not plausible that more letters should have existed on the right. Morandi reads lu[, comparing VB·19 lutu; cf. also CO·9. Is the second hasta of putative upsilon shorter?
