Interpreted as a feminine personal name by Morandi 1999: 180, who compares (n. 93) the toponym mevania (AcS II: 621, a variant of mona) and a meagre crop of names in mei- in AcS II: 530. No good comparanda in Celtic, where /ei̯/ > /ē/; if read correctly, maybe not etymologically Celtic.
