Commentary

Painted olpe found in grave 6 of the Colabiolo section of the Verdello necropolis. See Fortunati & Corti 2003: 167 for details about the grave and its inventory. The height is misprinted as 10.5 cm in Morandi 2004 (correct in Morandi 2003: 128, no. 6 and Morandi 2007: 300, no. 29). Dating according to Fortunati 2007: 591 for Colabiolo; Morandi gives the Augustan period (maybe because of the inscription's unusual letter forms?) in 2004, LT D1/2 in 2007.
