Inscribed in neat and hardly damaged letters on the shoulder of the olpe (length 7 cm), dextroverse and in Latin script; the letters are traced with white paint. Volonté reads ''S IIVVONIS'', an accurate representation of the characters. Morandi's reading ''semonis'', in which the two verticals after initial sigma are taken as cursive Latin epsilon {{c||E7|d}}, is more plausible linguistically, but his suggestion that the two chevrons in the middle, which do not touch, represent inverted mu {{c||M7|d}} (cf. only Camunoid [[BS·3.2]]) is hard to accept. In any case, {{w||seuuonis}} finds better Celtic comparanda than ''semonis'' (see the word page). The form appears to be a Latin genitive of a Latinised ''seuu̯ō'' (← Celtic ''seuu̯ū'').<br />
