Commentary

The Celtic character of the "Lepontic" inscriptions is denied and they are defined as "Ligurian" (but definitely Indo-European). Based on the hypothesis of Corssen 1874–75, he analyses -alo as an Etruscan genitive plural in -al with Indo-European -o- as thematic vowel.
