The black-glazed pyxis (type Lamboglia 3 / Morel 7544) comes from one of the graves which were excavated by Domenico Pini without supervision; the inventory includes objects from different periods and may not be authentic (Tori et al. 2004: 62, 64, Pernet et al. 2006: 299; the grave complex is described in Tori et al. 2004: 139 f.). On the classification of the object see Pernet et al. 2006: 188 (description), 242, cat. 69. See also Ulrich 1914 I: 573.

The dating follows Pernet et al. 2006: 188.
