Two characters inscribed on the foot of the patera near the rim. The left character looks like a form of alpha with a prolonged (lower) bar, so that the type cannot be determined (A22 s, A s?); the writing direction is therefore uncertain. Cf. also the issues with alpha in the other inscriptions on the object. Whatmough (Addenda p. 630), Solinas and Morandi read as, Tibiletti Bruno 1978 sa; both are equally plausible and otherwise attested in the corpus. In either case we are probably concerned with a workman's mark, possibly an abbreviation os a personal name (see the word pages), which is not connected with the other two inscriptions.
