Length of remains 15 cm (alpha to iota). Damaged by large lacunae before alpha and between rho and sigma; the latter lacuna being about 24 cm long, it is not entirely certain that the two parts belong to the same inscription. The transliteration in Casini & Fossati 2013: 380 features a punct between ]saliu and iui, which is not marked in the drawing nor identifiable on the photo.

Motta in Casini et al. 2008: 95 mentions the possibility that the first three letters are the beginning of the Lepontic alphabet aev (cf. the Latin alphabetarium on CMS1 in Casini & Fossati 2013: 381, no. 16), but rho seems quite unambiguous. For ]saliu, he tentatively suggests an on-stem from a base sal- (see Delamarre 2007).
