With regard to the Venetic script, {{bib|Whatmough 1933}}: 82 (n. xiv) compares the Venetic onomastic base ''iuvant''-, twice spelled with ⟨ii⟩ (see {{bib|Pellegrini & Prosdocimi 1967}} II: 107–109): ''iiuontove''. Indeed, as pointed out by {{bib|Morandi 2004}}: 530 (no. 20), /{{p||t}}/ may not be written before /{{p||n}}/, though this, whether orthographical or linguistic, would be a specifically Lepontic feature. /{{p||o}}/ instead of /{{p||a}}/ and the ending (?) °''ove'' are also unexplained.
