The monuments from the Lunigiana are dated by typological analogy, since no archaeological context is known (apart from the ''Stela di Minucciano'', see therefore {{bib|Ambrosi & Mannoni 1972}}: 244). The weapons depicted on the stelae can be compared with known archaeological types from the Hallstatt culture and etruscan (Este?) culture: "Antenna dagger" ("Antennendolch") from Ha C2, Ha D2 (dated in Golasecca area between 2<sup>nd</sup> half of the 7<sup>th</sup> and 1<sup>st</sup> half of the 6<sup>t</sup> century BC) and socketed axe with rectangular blade from the Etruscan context (2<sup>nd</sup> quarter of the 6<sup>t</sup> century BC. {{bib|Maggiani 1987}}: 438, fn. 6; there cited literature for Hallstatt parallels: {{bib|De Marinis 1975}}: 262-265, {{bib|Stary 1981}}: 300-301, Etruscan parallels: {{bib|Stary 1981}}: I 86-87, II 457 (Map E1, Type W 46)).
