Along via Strera near the fraction Loreto, north of [[Oleggio]] (exact location unclear), 268 tombs (mainly incineration) of a late La Tène/Roman necropolis (last quarter of 2<sup>nd</sup> c. BC–4<sup>th</sup> c. AD) were excavated between 1988 and 1995 by the Soprintendenza Archeologica del Piemonte.
