Commentary
Basing on the local epigraphy, the author attempts to define the stages of the process, due to which "the Cisalpine onomastic system lost every kind of own character, and was incorporated by the Roman one".
The first and the second are already identified, in the limits of a distinction which depends on the sense of the writing, in the inscription class of Poggi 1875 "gallo-italica".
