Lexically in OIr. omun (u-stem), MW ofuyn, MBret. oun, Co. own; etymology unclear (see Matasović 2009: 295 f., LEIA: O-22). In Gaulish personal names with first element eχs- 'without' or su- 'good'; see KGP: 250. For the assimilation /bn/ > /mn/ cf. dubn-.
