Commentary

The necropolis in the Pedemonte district of Gravellona Toce, at the foot of Monte Cerano, was excavated in the 1950s. 121 tombs date mostly from the late La Tène and Roman age, though a few are Golaseccan. See Pattaroni 1964, Piana Agostinetti 1972: 17–19, Graue 1974: 152–156, Caramella & De Giuli 1993: 56–58.
