Commentary

First published in Barelli 1877/Garovaglio 1877.

Images in Barelli 1877/Garovaglio 1877: tav. III.36 (drawing), Oberziner 1883: tav. XIX.2 (drawing copied from Garovaglio), Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 279, tav. VII.11 (photo).

Garovaglio 1877: 36, no. 36 says the graffito is outside, but Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 191 f., no. 11 notes the presence of only a small trace at a breaking edge on the outside. On the inside surface, she reads ]ẹị[ or ]ẹp̣[ with part of a frame line on the inside surface; this reading is given above, but the preserved lines can be arranged/completed to form any number of letters.
