Commentary

On the ridge between the rivers Robbia and Terrò, at a depth of 0.2–1.4 m, a necropolis with 39 tombs was excavated in 1902–1903 and again in 1969–1972. The majority are cremation tombs and have yielded furniture; the necropolis is Roman, dating between the late 1st century BC and the 4th century AD. See Società Archeologica Comense 1977, Società Archeologica Comense 1983 and the entry on the RAPTOR map.
