Commentary

On the ridge between the rivers Robbia and Terrò, at a depth of 0.2–1.4 m, a necropolis with 39 tombs was excavated in 1902–1903 and again in 1969–1972. The majority are cremation tombs and have yielded furniture; the necropolis is Roman, dating between the late 1st century BC and the 4th century AD. See Bianchi et al. 1983 and the entry on the RAPTOR map.
