Commentary
First published in Gambari 1999: 389, no. 6.
Inscribed on the bottom of the bowl near the rim of the foot; "lettere regolari latine" according to Gambari, probably an abbreviation of the same name as NO·17.1 moc, though the objects are dated over a century apart. In fact a bit strange to have a Latin inscription so early; Gambari says early 1st c. BC based on "caratteristiche epigrafiche" (which, I'd like to know), which is still early. Cf. Mennella 1992 (?).
