Commentary

Lexically in OIr. cích 'breast', MW cic, OBret. cic 'flesh', OCo. kig gl. caro < kīkV- without clear PIE connections (see Matasović 2009: 204, Zair 2012: 114 f., LEIA: C-96). Gaulish personal names which may contain the base are e.g. the epithets of Mars cicollus and cicinus, and a number of personal names, see DLG: 116, KGP: 117, Delamarre 2007: 65.
