With reference to the inscriptions of [[index::Ornavasso]], Kretschmer calls the genitive forms in {{m||-ui}} and {{m||-ia}} "unceltic", or at least not belonging to a known Celtic language; he says the same about the {{m||-m}} of the endings and about some words ({{m||-pe}}, {{w||pala}}): for him, the inscriptions are "Ligurian", Indo-European by all means; later contacts with Gaulish can't be excluded.
