Images in Prosdocimi 1988: 304, fig. 287, 288, 289 (photos).
Flat ovoid ciottolone of trachyte, max. circumference 97.5 cm, weight 22.6 kg (Prosdocimi 1984c: 424), found on a building site in via Mazzini in the 1960s (according to Morandi 2004: 693 (no. 271); Pellegrini 1984: 443 implies that the stone was found shortly before he examined it in November 1980). Its find context is unknown; Eno Bellis, director of the Museo di Oderzo, said that it was found in the area of ancient Oderzo southeast of the city itself (according to Prosdocimi 1984c: 425). Ciottoloni are Venetic funerary monuments typical for the area of Padova, the only other non-Padovan specimen being the one with inscription *Vi 4 (Prosdocimi 1988: 303). The present stone is not natural, like the Padovan ones, but carved into shape (Prosdocimi 1984c: 424). The stone cannot be dated archaeologically; see the inscription page on questionable palaeographical datings.
