An element ''setu''-/''seti''- (relation uncertain) is – beside the {{w||setupokios|setubogios}}-group – attested occasionally in names like {{bib|CIL}} XIII 10010 {{tr|lat|setus}} (potter's name), XIII 3894 {{tr|lat|setuleia}} (Narbonnensis), ''setuaianus'', see {{bib|Delamarre 2007}}: 232 et passim, {{bib|AcS}} II: 1529 f. The meaning and etymology of ''set''- are unclear (cf. {{bib|KGP}}: 268 against {{bib|Dottin 1920}}: 286, who connected it with Ir. ''sith''- 'long'); possibly from PIE *''set''- 'good, true'? Commentary

An element setu-/seti- (relation uncertain) is – beside the setubogios-group – attested occasionally in names like CIL XIII 10010 setus (potter's name), XIII 3894 setuleia (Narbonnensis), setuaianus, see Delamarre 2007: 232 et passim, AcS II: 1529 f. The meaning and etymology of set- are unclear. Dottin 1920: 286 connects it with Ir. sith- 'long'; critical Schmidt KGP: 268, but cf. Irslinger 2002: 141, who considers the possibility that *situ- and *setu- are ablaut variants. PIE *set- 'good, true' (NIL: 616 f.), which would be a good fit semantically for setubogios, is only reconstructed from Greek forms.
