Commentary

Kientz 1943: 765 in the publication of the inscription describes the object as the fragment (foot and part of bottom) of a scodella, with the dimensions given above, which he saw at Bellinzona in November 1942, but neglects to identify it by inventory number or grave. Morandi confirms the repository and gives a different max. diameter of the fragment (19.2 cm), but appears not to have seen it.
