Commentary

With reference to the inscriptions of Ornavasso, Kretschmer calls the genitive forms in -ui and -ia "unceltic", or at least not belonging to a known Celtic language; he says the same about the -m of the endings and about some words (-pe, pala): for him, the inscriptions are "Ligurian", Indo-European by all means; later contacts with Gaulish can't be excluded.
