Commentary
From the PIE root *u̯reh₁- 'to find' (IEW: 1160, LIV²: 698); the to-adjective in Celtic lexically in OIr. fríth 'find, foundling' (Irslinger 2002: 252). Quite frequent in Continental Celtic onomastics (and Ogham akevriti) in simplex names (e.g. uritius, uritto, G-68 ουριττακος) and in compounds as first element in G-217 ουριθθουριγου and as second element in ateuritus, -a (KGP: 301, GPN: 388 f., DLG: 329, Delamarre 2007: X, Stüber et al. 2009: 266).
