Four letters, the top part missing in all of them – Morandi's reading aiut[ is feasible, but not certain (except ). At the left end in the lower area just below the break three small vertical scratches can be seen, which may indicate that is the last letter of the inscription. Morandi compares similar marks on the Raetic document WE-3 from Stufles, and points out that the classification of object and inscription are uncertain. Indeed, inscriptions on worked bones are typical for Raetic documents, which cannot be excluded at Parra, which had strong ties to the inner-Alpine region. This sheds doubt upon the reading of the first letter , which could be Lepontic alpha, but also Raetic waw (viuθ). Linguistically, no Raetic analysis suggests itself and the possible Celtic one (see aiut() is also doubtful; Morandi compares the abbreviation of a Celtic PN piuot (also from Parre, though younger).
