Inscribed on the left-hand side of the handle when looking at the flagon from the back, 6 cm from the rim, running downward. The reading kop given by Jacobsthal & Langsdorff was provided by Marstrander and is accepted by Whatmough 1933: 629, no. 266 bis; Tibiletti Bruno 1978: 143; Motta 2000: 216, no. 29; De Marinis & Biaggio Simona 2000 II: 462, no. 542; Morandi 2004; Pernet et al. 2006: 229. (Crivelli 1977: 25 koi is certainly incorrect.) A reading kol with the upper parts of the letters pointing away from the vessel is theoretically possible, but the orientation and writing direction are most probably the same as in TI·18.1. The sequence may be anthroponymic (abbreviation?), but is ultimately obscure.
