Inscribed upside-down on the bottom of the patera (length ca. 6 cm) between two decorative lines which run all around the vessel. The letters are very neat and well legible; the alphabet is Latin with little to no influence from North Italic writing. The form can be identified as the genitive of the Celtic personal name caledū (thus already Volonté 2012: 728; see the word page for details).
