Commentary

The collections of the Museo Civico Archeologico were long housed in the Castello Sforzesco, where the finds belonging to the prehistoric and Egyptological sections are still displayed today, while the Greek, Etruscan and Roman sections were moved to the museum's new seat in the former Monastero Maggiore di San Maurizio in the 1960s.
