Commentary

Kientz 1943: 765 in the publication of the inscription describes the object as the fragment (foot and part of bottom) of a scodella, with the dimensions given above, which he saw at the Ufficio Cantonale dei Beni Culturali (Bellinzona) in November 1942, but neglects to identify it by inventory number or grave. Morandi confirms the repository and gives a different max. diameter of the fragment (19.2 cm), but appears not to have seen it. It could not be found in the systems of the Ufficio cantonale in October 2023.
