Commentary

Excavated between 1995 and 1997 by the Soprintendenza Archeologica della Lombardia, a number of stone chambers (tombs?) and rows of post holes associated with fire places; one hole was used as a sewer. In the vicinity a rock chamber. The whole complex dated to Golasecca III A and suspected of having had a religious function; belongs with the proto-urban conglomerate of Como. See De Marinis 2001: 63–66 and the entry on the RAPTOR map (CO.SV.14).
