Commentary

The Via Isonzo-La Pesa site, a.k.a. area I.A.C.P., was excavated in multiple campaigns between 1981 and 1985 before and after building work, revealing buildings, canals, and mainly ceramic and bronze finds dated primarily to Golasecca II and III A, though later strata are also present. The site is part of the proto-urban settlement conglomerate of Golaseccan Como. See the excavation reports De Marinis 1982, De Marinis 1983, De Marinis 1984, De Marinis 1984b, De Marinis et al. 1985, Società Archeologica Comense 1986b: 113–120.
