Commentary

Inscribed across four slabs on the front wall of the tomb, above the entrance (length of inscription 164 cm according to Cristofani 1980: 337); the first part (mi 'I (am)') is missing.

The name underlying the Etruscan patronym/gentilicium in -na katakinas (genitive) is argued to be etymologically Celtic by De Simone 1978b; see further on the word page.
