Inscribed on the inside bottom of the patera; the reading appears to be unambiguous (see also Gambari 1999: 389, Morandi 1999: 185, n. 103, De Marinis & Motta 2007: 139). The sequence rik, which also occurs on a black-glazed cup from Gottolengo (see BS·11), can be interpreted as an abbreviation of a personal name (see further on the word page).
