-The Celtic character of the "Lepontic" inscriptions is denied and they are defined as "Ligurian" (but definitely Indo-European). Based on the hypothesis of {{bib|Corssen 1874–75}}, he analyses ''-alo'' as an Etruscan genitive plural in ''-al'' with Indo-European ''-o-'' as thematic vowel.
