Commentary

Terracini is inclined to see Ligurian as the language "of the Mediterranean Indo-Arian population" and to an "incorporation of the Lepontic language into the history of Ligurian": Lepontic, which is assigned to the Ligurian language, represents "the avant-garde of its dissolution in the Indo-Arian".
