Inscribed on the inside foot of the vessel between two frame lines; the first two letters are preserved. TB read ]ạlu[ including faint traces before the first letter (also Tibiletti Bruno 1978: 147), but the horizontal mark at the breaking edge is unlikely to be intentional; also considering the curve of the foot it is not plausible that more letters should have existed on the right. Morandi reads lu[, comparing VB·19 lutu; cf. also CO·9.
