Commentary

Listed by Whatmough PID: 103, no. 298 with reading ]ais[ without detailed reference to Barelli; presumably W. saw it in one of Garovaglio's or Bergamaschi's drawings, but Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 208, no. 29 could not identify it in the tables or find it in the museum. Possibly a doublet of one of the inscriptions he saw in the museum and read differently, e.g. CO·5 or CO·8? Morandi refers to Barelli 1877b: 102 and tav. I (no suitable drawing) and Barelli 1878c: 201 and tav. XII (drawing of CO·8). Possibly the same as CO·31?
