Commentary
First published in PID: 101, no. 293.
Images in Garovaglio 1877: tav. I.17 (drawing = Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 288, tav. XVI.42 = Solinas 1995: 353), Oberziner 1883: tav. XVIII.10 (drawing copied from Garovaglio).
Inscribed on what appears to be the inside bottom/foot of the vessel. From Garovaglio's drawing, Whatmough read ai[ or al[, Tibiletti Bruno 1969b: 217 f., no. 42 gives multiple options for the second letter, of which St. Andrew's cross and upsilon are the most plausible. Waw is equally likely for the first letter, depending on the dating.
