Inscribed upside-down on the bottom of the patera just above the rim of the foot (length 3.8 cm). All the letters, preserved on three fragments, are damaged by breaks, but the reading is unambiguous. The sequence kaio can be interpreted as a personal name, but its ascription to Celtic is uncertain (see the word page). See VA·18 and VA·24 ka at the same necropolis, also on unglazed paterae and with similar dating, for a possible abbreviation – a workman's signature?
