Commentary

The fraction Zoverallo is the site of a late La Tène/Roman necropolis in the area of the church San Giorgio and the cemetery. It was discovered only sporadically in the 19th and early 20th century, and never systematically excavated; see Barocelli 1918 for an overview. See also Piana Agostinetti 2004: 192 f., 194, Caramella & De Giuli 1993: 231–233, and the entry on the RAPTOR map.
