Patronym in -(i)i̯- from a name esobn(ii̯)os with loss of final /s/; cf. specifically the attestation of the underlying PN esopnos at Garlasco (unlike the present one is esobn(i)i̯os as e.g. CIL V 7832 exomnius), and exobna in Latin script from (more or less) the same find place, as well as maybe esonius at Cerrione.
