Commentary
Find site in the hill range south-west of Como, ca. 500 m southeast of the Via Isonzo site (Prestino). Sector A encompasses a stretch of sandstone rock with petroglyphs, sector B a settlement dating to Golasecca II and III (6th–early-4th century BC) and late La Tène structures (two tombs and a votive deposit). The Golaseccan structures form part of the proto-urban settlement complex of Como. See Luraschi et al. 1973: 169–178, no. 89 with map, Ricci 1975, Negroni Catacchio 1979 and Negroni Catacchio 1982 for an overview and the latter especially on the La Tène material.
