The name exomnos 'without fear' is well-attested in Transalpine Gaulish and Cisalpine Celtic (exomn(i)us/-(i)a and derivations exomnacius, exomnianius, in a compound exounomara, with ? of /ks/ exsomnus, exsobno, exsobinius). esopnos shows the pre-assimilation Lautstand of the root obn-, as do both other Cisalpine attestations VB·28 esopnio (patronym from esopno(s)) and VB·24 exobna) as well as, in Transalpine Gaulish, RIG M-175 exobnos (Loire), exsobno (potter's stamp, Augst), CIL XIII 6460 exobni (gen., Meimsheim).
