The form is an o-stem personal name formed with an l-suffix (see -il(l)-) from the base rūn- 'secret', cf. Lejeune 1971: 64, n. 218, Motta 2000: 212. Tibiletti Bruno 1978: 143 alternatively cites isolated rundo (CIL XIII 6177). See also Salomon 2024: 165.
