Commentary
The form is unclear. Final s is uncertain. If the reading is correct, -ois could be an o-stem instrumental pl. ending; -is could also be interpreted as an i-stem nominative sg. -oi would be an o-stem nominative pl., but an additional letter, whether sigma or no, seems to be there. Cf. katutiniois, also at Carona. The base could be u̯iχt- < *u̯ik- 'fight' or u̯ind-; cf. uindicianus and other names in uind- in Delamarre 2007, though the stem vowel e is problematic.
