Commentary
Image in Bertolone 1931: 44, fig. 13 (drawing).
Patera reconstructed from seven fragments, only part of the wall and rim missing. Found during building work on the grounds of the Casa Ferrario in Samarate as part of a number of objects, reportedly from Roman (?) tombs (Bertolone 1931: 43, no. 4). Dating from Morandi, which may be on typological or palaeographical grounds, but see VA·28.3.
