Commentary
First published in De Marinis & Biaggio Simona 2000 II: 462, no. 540.
Image in Morandi 2004: 706.
Inscribed on the shoulder of the vessel; mu appears with only three bars, which is irregular in the Lepontic alphabet, and the bars are very short. The sequence śium should be expected to be an abbreviation of a personal name, but no comparanda are available in Gaulish onomastics (see the word page).
